Do you feel like Humpty Dumpty? Maybe you had a great fall. Or perhaps you feel like you’re coming apart at the seams. Here is the bad news, Mother Goose’s version: Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall; All the king's horses and all the king's men Couldn't put Humpty together again. But here is the good news. God has a whole different version of the old Mother Goose rhyme. We don’t need all the king’s horses or men. God can put our lives back together and bring wholeness back to our broken, scattered, coming apart, void, formless lives. Just like the Holy Spirit hovered over the void in Genesis and formed the heavens and the earth, Peace can hover over us. We can be embraced and overshadowed (hovered over) by divine peace. PEACE puts things BACK TOGETHER! In the Greek, peace come from the word eiro, which means to bring the pieces together to make them whole again. Peace joins. Peace ties together. However, we need to come before the Lord to receive that peace. We have to stop our frenzy long enough to let peace settle in around us. Let’s come before the Lord today to receive His peace. BE PUT BACK TOGETHER TODAY!
