Monday Minutes on Tuesday! Have you heard anything recently about a leader who acquired wealth by illegal means? Sounds like he and his offspring were quite busy beavers. Might be nice if he was spending that much time actually leading. Correctly. Justly. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being wealthy within God's plan for your life. Or, at least, being taken care of. Being given raises to keep up with inflation and out of respect for the work you’ve been doing. Being taken care of with benefits. God is pleased when workers at all levels are taken care of to the best of the employer’s ability. Or, when the self-employed advance as they follow His leading. But when leaders (or workers of any sort) are more interested in acquiring wealth than in doing their job well and fulfilling God’s plan for their lives, He is not pleased. Let’s watch what we are striving for. Righteous leading. Faithful service. God will take care of us even if our employer doesn’t seem to value our hard work. He will reward our faithful service in some other way if He needs to. LEAD and WORK as unto the LORD, not unto men! Let him bring you the provision He desires, in His way!
