Have you ever insisted on what you wanted? Or, made a hasty decision? Or, ignored that check in your spirit and did something anyway? And then regretted it? Paid for it? The scripture says in James 1:14-15: “but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” This implies that intense, unrestrained desire to please ourselves can lead to death. If not physical death, then all sorts of issues; lack in all kinds of areas; missing God’s best in one or more spheres. Let’s exercise self-restraint and patience to attain God’s best. Have a patient, self-restraining day!
