Can you get TOO MUCH of a good thing? God seems to think so. Solomon returned to forbidden fruit so to speak. God wanted him to leave behind AND NEVER RETURN TO Egypt. For horses. Or for anything. But his eyes were on the prize horses of Egypt. I WANT IT, AND I’LL HAVE IT seemed to be Solomon’s life motto. Sometimes God says to cut our ties, burn our bridges. Even to something that is highly prized or valued in the world’s eyes, like the horses of Egypt were in Solomon’s time. However, we entertain thoughts of return. We put one foot over the line, or just one big toe. That one big toe too often leads to being fully immersed in whatever we were to LEAVE BEHIND. What is God calling you to leave behind today? It’s not always something bad. Horses weren’t BAD. Sometimes God wants us to leave behind a season, or a person, or a dream, or a place. Whether bad or good, we must leave it behind. Draw a line in the sand today and never cross back over it. If God says leave it, leave it. Move ahead.
