Fat in the scripture means having plenty. Anointing is something applied to us by another. As Charismatics, we value the anointing. We want our leaders to be anointed. We want to be anointed to do all God wants us to do. We don’t want to work in our own strength, but under the Lord’s anointing. The good news is that we don’t need to choose between fatness and having God’s anointing. Although there are many facets of the anointing (see links below for more), Pentecostals often think of anointing as a special fiery sense of God’s presence when God moves in a powerful way. This is awesome. I love it when this happens, and I think God wants to move in this way far more often than we allow it to happen. We hamper this kind of move in many ways, which we won’t get into here. However, the way we walk in everyday life is just as important as those moments when we feel a special presence and see God at work in supernatural ways. Today we are talk about breaking the yoke. You might be surprised what it really means!
