“Are you trouble for the enemies of God? | Search the Scriptures Ep4 | Know and Grow” from Bonnie Wiley

Remember the slogan “You asked for it, you got it...Toyota”? A lot of people (not enough to win!) asked for a certain president and GOT IT. With him, you got a lot of junk and a person growing rich(er) through nefarious means. Solomon was far from this person, but he did severely tax his people and lay heavy burdens on them. Power can be used for wicked ends as we see clearly in our world today. Our Bible gives examples of power grabs, evil and righteous governance, right and wrong choices. Speaking of Israel’s past, Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 10:6 that these things were for an example to us and in 2 Tim. 3:16, 17 that scripture is “profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” Let’s learn from biblical examples. Have a thoroughly furnished day!
